Fire Chief

The Union Township Fire Department strives to exceed the expectations of the customers it serves. In fact, it is probably more accurate to describe our role as “Life Safety Services” as opposed to fire department. More and more of our time, energy and resources are spent away from the traditional reactive responses but instead on a proactive approach. Our main emphasis is to promote the protection of lives, property and the environment.

Of course the Department continues to provide the traditional services such as fire suppression, emergency medical services at an advanced life support level, hazardous material, entrapment and rescue responses. In a rapidly growing community such as this, the demands for service continue to escalate year after year. Currently the department responds to approximately 4500 emergency medical calls and 1500 fire incidents per year and conducts 1500 fire safety inspections in township businesses annually. The department also provides education in the form of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automated External Defibrillator, fire extinguisher and other safety related training to the citizens of the township as well as the students and staff at Glen Este High School. In addition, fire department personnel train on a daily basis.

Our role is directed at making this a safer and healthier community. Always at your service, the Union Township Fire Department stands ready to assist you.

Very truly yours,

Chief Stanley G. Deimling
